Children definetly need to have somewhere to play although there is a fine line between children playing and doing what children should do and older children running wild causing damage to peoples property and being a general nuisence. This is a problem that seems to be escalating of late, and needs to be addressed by all residents in order to curtail this nuisence behaviour. I know some will say that as there is a lack of facilities for older children they have very little to do, this does not mean however, that these individuals should be allowed to disrupt others in the area and show a complete lack of respect or concern for the other residents in the area.

Regarding the play area behind the mud hill, didn't realise this hasn't been maintained recently. I'll phone the council again to try to get them to do this asap. Also have just given some young boys into trouble as one of them have pulled out the irrigation tube on one of the newly planted trees. The landscape charge we're in disagreement about with the council will surely just be increased to fix this kind of destruction. And again the football was kicked out onto the road when a car was passing, this is a bit of a worry, especially for the young ones. Some of the cars go at a fair speed along the road. Let's hope we can resolve some of these issues. Of course the kids need to play somewhere, but surely safety is an issue.

Until recently the kids were playing football over at the mud hill all the time. The reason that they are now back over playing on the grass at the top of the street is twofold. Firstly, the kids play a match against each other and it is the kids from Pavilion Gardens against the kid from the Robertsons and that is where they wish to play. Secondly, despite assurances from NAC to maintain the land over at the mud hill, they haven't being doing this. Reason that I know is, that I walk my dog over there sometimes and the grass is covered in nettles, and the kids are fed up being stung by them time and time again. Furthermore, my son has been suffering from stye's in his eyes and I can only assume that this is being caused by the dirt etc which is disturbed on the mud hill when they are playing there. Whilst I can sympathise with your predicament, what are the kids actually meant to do? Unlike some of the older kids, they are not being destructive, merely trying to have some fun and at the same time, keeping fit.

Does anyone know if the Council's Executive meeting took place on 20th April, where the maintenance charge was supposed to be discussed? This may all be on hold due to General Election being called.

Have to agree with Andy L coz the problem is the same in Archers Avenue with empty parking bays and cars parked more than half on the pavement. I am aware that these days most households have two or more vehicles but theres no need for this selfish behaviour so i would suggest that we try to sort this problem out ourselves asap before someone gets seriously injured and then the problem becomes a matter for the police.

Hi,
I have got to say over the past couple of weeks I am disgusted with the amount of dog fouling I have witnessed. With the better weather I have been taking my baby out walks in her pram and continually need to "dodge" the dirt!! The main area I have noticed is on the pavements of Earlswood just across from where the show houses used to be. It looks like it is coming from a small dog and it may be possible that a child is taking it for a walk and not cleaning up afterwards. I have also noticed a female, in her 40's with shoulder length blonde hair every morning between 8.15 and 9.00 walking her golden lab/retriever on the path towards the garage. I have seen the dog doing it's business on several occasions and her not stopping to clear it up!!! I can see this from my window and cannot believe the cheek of some people!! If anyone knows who she is can you please advise her that she has "been spotted" and my next move is to contact NAC with photographic evidence. Apparantly they can issue fines without having to witness the dog fouling themselves. Maybe it's time we "name" and "shame" these individuals to help us deal with this issue.

Rant over for the day.

Thanks

Where are the letters requested by Councillor Barr for NAC to alert residents to the fact that payment can be postponed until further notice. Again just to let you know, not one councillor responded to the emails i sent them prior to the last meeting!

To be honest, up until recently i hadnt noticed just what an issue dog fouling is in the area. However over the last couple of weeks i have been disgusted just how much there is lying about. I stay in the persimmon houses and went out on a bike ride with my family over past the Robertson and IHA houses. The pathways were covered in it. Also on taking a rare walk up to our fabulous landscaping next to the play at Regalia Park i kid you not when i say that every other step i took up the back path from my home to the park, a pile of merd sat!. There is too much of it lying around to be strays or the odd unoticed accident from an owners dog. I would say to all lazy owners, get a grip and sort it out. If it is above you to lift what your animal leaves behind don't take them beyond your garden. This is a health hazard and needs addressed. To all responsible owners, this obviously in no way is addressed at you. Like all comments left previoulsy, i doubt that this will have any effect. Its either in you as a person or not to act responsibly. By the way, the fact that this place is covered in dog mess is being talked about beyond the boundaries of Montgomerie Park. Not a nice reputation have i'm sure you'd agree.
