Parking in Earlswood Wynd

I wouldn’t normally bother to comment on such things but the current situation is close to ridiculous.
As it stands Earlswood Wynd is little more than an extended carpark during evenings and weekends, this causes issues with visibility as the Wynd bends, and in some cases difficulty taking cars off driveways.
Can I remind everyone that we have several young children who, as the weather improves, will spend more time playing on the street and one-another’s front gardens. Vehicles abandoned half on / half off the roadway make it all the easier for someone to be run-over when not looking where they’re going when running between cars. There are several recessed parking spaces along the road which more often than not are left empty in favour of mounting the kerb.
Can we please show some consideration and not treat it like an extension of the M8 with vehicles strewn all over the road, in its current state it’s only a matter of time before a child gets injured when running out from behind a parked van or car.

Have to agree with Andy L coz the problem is the same in Archers Avenue with empty parking bays and cars parked more than half on the pavement. I am aware that these days most households have two or more vehicles but theres no need for this selfish behaviour so i would suggest that we try to sort this problem out ourselves asap before someone gets seriously injured and then the problem becomes a matter for the police.

Does anyone know if the Council’s Executive meeting took place on 20th April, where the maintenance charge was supposed to be discussed? This may all be on hold due to General Election being called.
